Join Celebrating 100 Years of Faithful Service at Second Baptist ChurchSeptember 22nd, 2024

We are filled with immense joy and gratitude as we gather together today to celebrate a momentous occasion in the life of Second Baptist Church: our 100-year church anniversary. It is a testament to God's faithfulness, the dedication of our predecessors, and the unwavering commitment of our church family throughout the years.
As we reflect on our journey, we are reminded of the humble beginnings of this community of believers. In a small gathering of faithful individuals, our church was born with a vision to glorify God, share the love of Christ, and make a lasting impact on our city and beyond. Today, we stand as a thriving congregation, deeply rooted in the love of Christ, and united in our mission to reach the lost, serve the needy, and disciple the faithful.

The centennial anniversary of Second Baptist Church carries with it a tremendous significance. It allows us to honor the rich tapestry of stories dating back to our inception, and to recognize the countless lives that have been forever changed within these sacred walls. It is a time to celebrate the dedication and fervor of those who laid the foundation for us and to express gratitude for the guidance and blessings bestowed upon us in the past century.
This special occasion calls for a joyous celebration, filled with both reflection and anticipation. Throughout the year, we will embark on a series of events and activities to commemorate this milestone. We will organize a special worship service, uniting current and former members, as well as Special Guest Thomas Hammond Executive director of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board.

We invite each member of Second Baptist Church and the larger community to be part of this significant celebration. This is an opportunity for us to come together, bridging generational gaps and embracing unity as the body of Christ. We want to honor the past, celebrate the present, and confidently step into the future, as we continue to faithfully serve God and carry out His mission in our world.

We give thanks to God for His abundant blessings throughout our church's history, and we eagerly anticipate the future He has in store for us. Let us celebrate this momentous occasion, not merely as a milestone in time, but as a reminder of God's faithfulness, His unfailing love, and His empowering grace that has sustained us for a century.

May the Lord continue to bless Second Baptist Church abundantly, now and always!
